The entire piece is ash-glazed, and there is a grainy or shriveled "kairagi" on the hips and the prospective surface from the glaze that was applied during the firing process. There is a mark of "栩 " on the base.On the front of the lid of the co-box, there is an inscription "Kairagi wan(梅華皮盌)". It is thought to have been produced in the Showa 1955s.He was selected for the first time in the system of "Living National Treasure" which started in 1955. Four people in the field of ceramics were designated for the first time, and Munezaro Ishiguro was designated along with Kenkichi Tomimoto, Shoji Hamada, and Toyozo Arakawa.Ishiguro Muneyoshi did not have a teacher, but studied old ceramics and refined his own individuality.

He was a ceramic artist from Kuguminato, Imizu City, Toyama Prefecture. He was fascinated with Yohen Tenmoku, ceramics from Sung, China, and aimed to be a ceramic artist in 1918.He built his own kiln in Higashiyama Ward, Kyoto City and created a lot of works in 1935.He was designated a Living National Treasure (the holder of Important Intangible Cultural Property 'Tetsugusuri - iron glazed Ceramics') in 1955.
