Showa period -

D16cm H28cm

It has several convex bands running from the neck to the shoulders. Because it resembles a bamboo shoot, it is sometimes called a bamboo shoot-shaped vase. Kawase Shinobu copied this piece from a piece produced at a Guan kiln during the Southern Song period in China. Kawase Shinobu is a popular artist who represents contemporary celadon makers by creating delicate and graceful celadon that emits a modern sense of form and color, while aiming for the ancient ceramics of China's Song dynasty.
