Late Edo to Meiji Period

Diameter: 11.5 cm / Height: 2 cm

This is a rare set of glass small plates produced during the late Edo to Meiji period.

The term giyaman (義山) originates from the Dutch word diamant (diamond), and refers to thick cut glass with intricate faceting.

Each plate measures 11.5 cm in diameter and 2 cm in height, making it a practical size. The delicate cuts reflect light beautifully, creating a brilliant shine.

Out of the 20 plates, 5 have small chips on the rim, known as atari.
