This is a set of ten colored Imari plates, believed to have been made during the Genroku period (1688–1704). The plates are meticulously decorated with floral patterns that are both vibrant and elegant, creating a sense of grace and refinement. The central medallion also features a floral motif. The design is based on red overglaze, with green, gold, and blue accents that harmonize beautifully, giving the entire piece an air of noble elegance.
The edges of the plates are softly shaped into a flower-like form, enhancing their decorative appeal while retaining the warm, inviting qualities characteristic of ancient Imari. Each plate bears a hand-painted expression, and the fact that all ten plates remain together is extremely rare today, making this set an exceptionally valuable collection.
This work reflects the technical prowess and aesthetic ideals of Imari ware during the Genroku period, and it is not only a perfect piece for display but also suitable for prestigious occasions. Experience the timeless beauty of ancient Imari, which continues to captivate beyond the passage of time.
