This is a set of five mukozuke dishes by Shigetoshi Nakazato, a leading figure in contemporary Karatsu ware.

The pieces feature the characteristic iron-rich glaze of E-Karatsu, adorned with freely brushed plant motifs that convey both simplicity and refined elegance.

The gently scalloped, shell-like forms vary subtly from piece to piece, reflecting the warmth and individuality of hand-crafted ceramics. The clay body is clearly visible around the foot, adding depth and character that will continue to develop with use.
