KIYOMIZU  Rokubei II

1790 - 1860 

He was the son of KIYOMIZU Rokubei I. He was the first Kiyomizu ware potter since the middle of the Edo period. He lost his father at the age of 10 and had to take a leave of absence, but resumed his work in Bunka 8 at the age of 22 and took over the name of Rokubei. In addition to earthenware tea ceremony utensils, he also produces white porcelain and dyed works. His family name is Seisai.
