Uichi SHIMIZU / 清水卯一
1926 (Showa 1) – 2004 (Heisei 16)
Born in Kyoto. In 1940 (Showa 15), he studied under Ishiguro Munemaro. After training as a student at the National Kyoto Ceramic Research Institute, he worked as an assistant in the ceramics division of the Kyoto Municipal Industrial Research Institute.
He later devoted himself to ceramics, working primarily out of his home studio.
