This bowl was made in China about 400 years ago during the Wanli period of the Ming dynasty. The prospective piece is decorated with a landscape painting. There are some scuffs. The inner side has a chakra motif pattern all the way around. A horse is painted on the outside of the mouth rim. There are linear kiln marks on the inner side of the base and on the base as well. A similar piece is shown in the book "Kraak Porcelain: A Moment in the History of Trade Maura Rinaldi". “Kosometsuke” is the Japanese name for the blue-andwhite porcelain fired in the folk kilns of Jingdezhen, Jiangxi, mainly during the Tianqing period (1621-27) at the end of the Ming dynasty in China.
