This incense burner is made of blue and white porcelain with a clear luster. It is titled "Sky. Toji Fukami is one of the internationally acclaimed ceramic artists whose works are in the collections of the National Museum of Modern Art, Tokyo and other museums in Japan, as well as the Metropolitan Museum of Art in the United States.

 

Sueharu FUKAMI

1947 - 

Born in Kyoto. Known for his blue-and-white porcelain and three-dimensional works using the casting technique, he is highly acclaimed overseas. In 1985, he won the Grand Prix at the Faenza International Ceramic Art Exhibition in Italy. Collections include the National Museum of Modern Art, Tokyo, the British Museum, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
