At Kyoto City University of Arts (now Kyoto City University of Arts), Morihiro Wada met Kenkichi Tomimoto , and later moved to Kasama City, Ibaraki Prefecture, where he built his kiln. Morihiro Wada created a variety of creative and abstract patterns. This cutting board dish is decorated with a rose pattern. It is not rectangular, but rather slightly snarled, and one corner is a corner cutout. It has a foot on a high base and a line engraved signature in the middle of the base.

Born in Nishinomiya City, Hyogo Prefecture, he graduated from Kyoto City University of Arts in 1967 with a degree in ceramics. In 1977, moved to Kasama City, Ibaraki Prefecture, and in 1980, won the Gold Prize at the Faenza International Ceramic Art Exhibition.
