Ryoji Koie was an internationally active ceramic artist who held exhibitions in Japan and abroad during the late Showa and Heisei periods. The center portion is incised, and the top of the board is covered with Oribe's distinctive green glaze. It has four legs. Although some rattling can be seen, the rattling can be eliminated by inserting a cushioning material between them.
