An exquisite glass vase by Daum Nancy, the celebrated master of Art Nouveau glassmaking.
Crafted on a warm, mottled background of yellow and cream-colored vitrification (inclusions of glass powder), the piece features a delicate motif of bleeding hearts (Dicentra spectabilis). The flowers and foliage are finely rendered using multi-layered cameo glass, acid-etching, and detailed enamel painting, giving the botanical design a lifelike, three-dimensional presence. The tall, slender form tapers gracefully toward a bulbous stem and broad base, creating a balanced, elegant silhouette.
Engraved near the base with the "Daum Nancy" signature, this work exemplifies the refined craftsmanship and poetic nature-inspired aesthetics characteristic of the Daum studio.
