Miyagawa (Makuzu) Kozan Ⅱ
(1859~1940)
He was born as Chouhei Miyagawa who was an older brother of Kozan.
But Chouhei died early. So Kozan adopted him as his son.
He expanded the precise style that there was dignity based on multicolored overglaze painting pottery such as Chinese ceramics, Nisei and Kenzan.
He was familiar with the situation of the ceramic art in Europe most in Japan
and performed innovation of a traditional style since the early period of Meiji positively.
