The lid is decorated with an embroidered bead and a lioness playing with it, and the mouth of the lioness is used as an air vent. The body is decorated with various patterns in a rounded pattern. Around the circle is a pine, bamboo, and plum design.
Isokichi Asakura II

Studied under Hachikichi I at the age of 15 in 1928, and then under Toujiro Kitade from 1921. In 1956, he received the Japan Art Academy Award for his work "Impression of Sado Island," which was exhibited at the Nitten the previous year, and in 1959 he became a member of the Japan Art Academy. He also received the Order of Cultural Merit in 1992 and the Order of Cultural Merit in 1996. With a solid foundation in traditional Kutaniyaki porcelain, he excelled in the technique of painting designs such as birds and flowers, and became a leading figure in the modern Kutaniyaki style of colored Kutaniyaki. In his later years, he further enhanced his artistry by decorating his porcelain with platinum, and his works were not only for appreciation but also for use in easy-to-use vessels, combining both beauty and utility.
