The side depicts a fan flowing into a stream of water. The front is accented with a pressed and recessed area. The seal “清” is stamped on the side of the high stand.

 

 

Rokubei KIYOMIZU V

1875 - 1959

Born in Kyoto, second son of Rokubei IV. His name was Rokubei, and later Rokuwa. Studied under Kouno Bairei through his father. After studying at the Kyoto Prefectural School of Painting, he learned pottery from his father. Organized the Gojo-kai for budding potters and devoted himself to the training of younger generations.
