This splendid folding screen, Nowaki ("Autumn Storm"), is a work by renowned Nihonga painter Koji Matsumura, celebrated for his vibrant colors and delicate brushwork.
The piece vividly captures autumn grasses swaying in the wind, blending deep blues, fiery reds, and a soft gold background.
On the right panel, a charming weasel is depicted, quietly conveying the presence of life amidst nature's movements.
Composed of four panels, this screen adds elegance and a sense of grandeur to any space.
Combining traditional folding screen techniques with a modern sensibility, it harmonizes beautifully with both Japanese and Western interiors.
